Activities and Tourist Attractions
This Region of Spain boasts some of the best architecture and history and if that won't satisfy you then there are plenty of sporting activities too.
Murcia. This beautiful city is a 30 minute drive to the north. It boasts a fantastic cathedral and lots of bars and cafes. An ideal place to wander and soak up the atmosphere of a Spanish city.
Cartegena. This ancient city is a 45 minutes drive to the south. There are many Roman remains to see and museums to visit. it is situated alongside a harbour which is a great place for a long, leisurely lunch. All the local and beuatiful historical attractions are central to Cartegena town centre and are within walking distance. The shops here are excellent and include many designer ones.
Parks
Aqua Natura - a seasonal water park with lots of rides suitable for all ages and Terra Natura - a huge wildlife park set in beautiful gardens.
Aquopolis is another water park set slightly further away in Torrevieja near Alicante. www.aquopolis.com.
Sierra Espuna - is a stunning national park with a wealth of activities are available here from quad biking, walks and cycling.
Sierra Nevada - a 2 hour drive away. Fantastic for skiing in the winter months.
Fishing
